The design for a kitchen renovaton in Kings Point, New York takes what was previously a small, non-descript kitchen design and turns it into the focal point of a residence. By stripping back the original decor of the kitchen, and replacing it with new stone, a hearth is created within the home. Secondly, a large wooden table is placed behind the sink area to create a communal gathering zone where socializing can be accomodated for. A range is accentuated by an archway that adds to the earth and natural feel of the design as well. Finally, the kitchen has a seperate area for the placement of its Refrigerator and Pantry area, which funtons well within the new design, because the service area of the kitche is seperated nicely from the more spacious and interactve area.
