The renovaton of the Cineplex Odeon Theatres in Huntngton, New York shows the progression of theatre work by James Thomas Martno in two distnct ways. One is the overall design of the theatre complex, and two is the interior organiza-ton of the theatre. There is a proporton-ately small band of glass that wraps around the botom porton of the entre facade, which is mixed with metal horizontal louvers that stretch around the building. The metal louvers are interrupted though by one glass corner of the theatre design, a glass corner that gives an unobstructed view from the outside into the atrium area of the theatre, and gives a detailed look for the trained eye of the connectons of the building cladding to the floor plates and so forth. Coming in at just over 48,000 square feet with 1,800 seats this theatre holds many different rooms for viewer-ship, with the larger theatre rooms at the rear side of the theatre and the smaller rooms by the front. This facility as a whole demostrates the capabilites of the firm by allocatng sufficient space to theatre rooms which are normally obstructve and prosaic in nature in unique and inventve ways.
